Loved it lots of natural beauty and wildlife but most of the trails are flooded so bring rain boots ! Surprise how not a lot of people come out here but honestly it just makes it more pleasant
Most of the featured activities are closed. You will be able to drive a loop road, park and observe alligators from a bridge, and take a short walk. The park should post information about what’s open and closed on their website.
We really r into nature, and this is Florida nature at its best. It’s a nice drive. There r some scenic lookouts. There r walking trails that r not overly strenuous. Probably not a good idea to be walking on trails near the water during alligator mating season (mostly May and June), but if that is when u visit this area, it is worth going there, especially if u r bored and looking for something low-key to do.
