Disgusted by the scones at this establishment
Cape Lavender Tea House的点评
点评：This experience was awful. The table was filthy and I had to ask three times before it was wiped down. We ordered six serves of scones with creme as well as drinks. The scones were either baked yesterday or I suspect they were taken out of the freezer. They were old and crumbly and we were hard pressed to eat even half of each serve!
When I asked to speak to the manager named Shane I was not even offered an apology. She was surly and couldn’t care less. She openly stated that the savoury scones might not be fresh but that they had employed a new chef and that could be the reason the scones weren’t up to standard.
We were especially disappointed since we’d made a special trip to come here again.
On another note the bathrooms were disgustingly dirty
The management has a lot to answer for. If your main event is Devonshire Tea then your scones need to be freshly baked. You need to have someone checking on the cleanliness of the tables and floor and toilets all the time.
I will Never put my foot in this establishment again and I strongly advise everyone to be aware. What a disgrace
