Highway 66 Welcome Center的点评
点评：There are fewer and fewer good rest areas along Missouri interstates, but this welcome center in the middle of the Ozarks is really well-done. Whether you are going eastbound or westbound on I-44, make a stop here. Much creativity and effort went into the construction and design. (If only all rest areas were as creatively designed for the traveler.) for example, there are at least 10 picnic shelters, each with a particular motif. For example, one has the Meramec Caverns sign on its room and another has a roadside motel facade. Even the pathway from the building to the shelters has a line that is painted like the center line on a highway. Inside the visitors center are several features for the truly observant person, not just somebody desperate for a bathroom (like a Route 66 wall clock.) The neon style welcome sign is a nice touch, too. I wonder if it lights up at night?
