Unique and authentic tour, wonderful homestay

点评：Truly unique experience. Any length is possible, I chose the 3 day 2 night trip and it was a major highlight for me in Laos, SE Asia even!
A wonderful mix of hiking, history, nature, coffee and culture tailored to your interests. Khamsone’s jeeps take you where no minivan can go. He is the only one to offer this type of tour; you are literally off the beaten track and everything he shows you is authentic and tourist-free. You get a real sense of what life is like on the Bolaven plateau. Khamsone is a fantastic guide - a great storyteller with a lot of knowledge to share.
I did so many things - hiked to the top of a volcano, saw a bamboo village, a deserted waterfall, walked on the Ho Chi Minh trail, saw the sunrise from the Mystic Mountain (together with the family dogs that happily accompany you), experienced the coffeeroasting process, etc. etc. - it has felt like a week away.
Relax time at the (organic!) coffee farm is great too, the bamboo bungalows (with warm shower!) have a great view (mine was on a beautiful little river) and Khamsone’s wife is an excellent cook. So if you don’t have as much time as I did, just go for a short visit and check out the farm and the coffee, that is worth it too!
