点评：I recently ran a week long yoga retreat in Siem Reap with a group of 5. Upon arrival in Siem Reap, I blessedly met Tuk Tuk Chen at the Bus stop. We met at a cafe a few days later putting together my vision and his knowledge of the area, developing the right paced schedule for my itinerary. Once my guests arrived the whole week went seamlessly thanks to Chen. He was always punctual, always had cold water for all, both in his tuk tuk (which we used for some of our temple days) and his comfortable air-conditioned van (which we used for further distances such as Kulen Mountain and the Tonle Sap)
Whatever I say about Chen will not be enough. He truly went above and beyond in many ways. Nothing was ever too much, even stopping for fresh fruit or laundry drop offs and pick ups on the way back to our resort after a long day.
His english is incredible and he has a very good understanding of westerners needs and limitations and has advised me along the way bearing in mind what would be most beneficial for the group in terms of comfort. His smile is warm and friendly yet he remains professional, flexible to changes and personal, sharing stories from his life and family, which allowed us to connect to Cambodia and its people in a much deeper way.
He accompanied us into the giant Buddha pagoda translating at the monk blessing, he found the perfect (absolute perfect) guide for us for the temples, thank you!! - he always let us use a hotspot from his personal wifi data, which truly goes above all expectations.
Whenever we returned from our walks back to the car he had the air-con running and was always there to spot us in a crowd so we never felt lost or left alone.
Whatever I say is not enough. We felt safe, taken care of by a reliable, friendly lovely local, safe driver and knowledgeable guide. An inspiring human and an amazing ambassador for his people, the people of Cambodia! Thank you Chen, see you again!
