点评:We arrived at Shioiri Park for the Sumidagawa Festival. We wanted to be among the locals and experience a festival in Japan. Every inch of the park was covered in mats, tarps, chairs and picnic squares. It took us forever to find a spot. Everyone was respectful not to encroach on others’ spots. In the mass crowds, all were very polite and we didn't witness any arguments. We arrived early; or so we thought so. The police were out in force; but their numbers were tiny in comparison to the crowds. There was a lot of hype and quiet murmurs among the crowd. There were mostly young teens and young adults attendees.
Some came in traditional dress from head to toe. That was quite a spectacle and exciting for us visitors. The actual fireworks not so much. We left early to avoid the crush at the train station.

有些人从头到脚都穿着传统服装。这对于我们游客来说真是一个奇观和令人兴奋的事情。实际的烟花并没有那么多。我们很早就出发了,以避免火车站拥挤。
