Massive Christmas market, but Rey and avoid peak times

点评：Amazing experience, but try and avoid a weekend or dates close to Christmas. The crowds are unbearable and you can barely move.
We visited on Sunday 15th December. The market itself is is amazing. Boasting a huge ice rink that flows around the markets like a river, and with owner of stalls selling everything from Christmas decorations, to sweets and drinks. It has a huge garden of Christmas lights and the backdrop of the square is stunning. There are huge Christmas trees all over the market.
Sadly for us it wasn’t a great experience due to the sheer mass of people. There were so many there you could barely move. Everyone queuing for every single stall. It’s a shame they can’t limit the number of people going in, because it really does spoil the experience.
However if you are in Vienna at Christmas, it’s definitely worth a visit.
