I am deeply disheartened by the treatment I received from Lomprayah on August 21, 2024. My experience on their ferry was nothing short of a nightmare.
The issues began when a staff member (as pictured in the attached pictures) directed us to seats in front of the baggage area. Despite our concerns about the accumulating luggage potentially blocking our feet, the same staff member insisted we stay there, then argued with us when we tried to address the issue. Her behavior was not only dismissive but also confrontational and rude.
Things took a turn for the worse at the Samui stop. The staff member demanded we move our bags from the seat next to us and began handling our belongings aggressively and throwing our bookbags on the floor because I did not move fast enough. Keep in mind that a lot of the people there also had her things on the seat, but she did not harass them. Despite my clear request for her to stop touching my things and to speak with her supervisor, she ignored me and continued to act in a highly unprofessional manner. This escalated into a physical altercation in which she scratched and pushed me, which was both shocking and humiliating in front of other passengers.
The lack of intervention from other staff members and the overall poor handling of the situation made it clear that such behavior might be tolerated within their team. As a result, I felt compelled to share my experience publicly, as no passenger should be subjected to such mistreatment.
I hope Lomprayah ferry takes immediate action to address these issues and improve their customer service standards. My trip to Thailand was marred by this unfortunate incident, and I sincerely hope that future passengers will not have to endure similar experiences.
