Tourists- avoid Carousel- expensive parking fees

点评：Due to parking traps, Tourists should go to other shopping malls like DFO, Cockburn Central or Mandurah Forum.
Be warned that if you forget to exit within 2hours, the parking fees are very expensive. Carousel is nothing special. The longer you’re there, you could forget and risk exceeding 6hours and get charged $35.
My membership gives me 4h free parking already but I simply forgot as it was school holidays and I thought I’d support Carousel though my family was wanting to visit Garden City or Karrinyup. It’s a decision I regret as I was charged a whopping $35 for additional 2.5 hours (total 6.5h) that ruined our experience.
Their parking fees are designed to discourage customers from spending more. Other people feel the same way and the management just replies “sorry for the bad experience, contact us, etc..” - all bull-dust as I called them requesting for a refund but they refused. They think they don’t have to care that many customers now no longer come here including me. Just look at the carpark- it’s more empty than it was once was. It’s no longer the newest shopping centre nor offering anything so special like outlet shopping. Nor are their restaurants so famous that you will want to line up for it.
Furthermore, Carousel is about 20 minutes out of town, in a lower socioeconomic area and there are many shops and restaurants outside of Carousel - eg. Chemist Warehouse with ample free parking is next to it.
So businesses have been losing customers and should ask themselves why the greedy management aren’t doing anything to help attract customers.
