Turtle Sanctuary and plastic straws being sold right outside

点评：It’s is good that they are helping to get the baby turtles to the sea without predators etc getting in the way. However I believe they need to invest that money and time not on the natural environment but the rubbish/litter that is in the ocean and beach at the sanctuary and all gili islands . The restaurant we went to right outside the sanctuary was selling plastic straws !!!!!!
And everyone eating and drinking there were drinking out of them !!!! Makes me wonder if it’s just for show as how can you care about turtles but sell and use plastic straws ??? Made me very upset! Also when we went snorkelling for turtles there was a lot of rubbish in the ocean ! I really hope they are sorting out that issue. Yes the turtles safely get to the ocean but once they are in it I can’t see how they survive long without plastic killing them.
