Appalled at the fact that they have banned dogs

点评：Only gets one star because there is no lotion to give it zero. In all my 64 years iI have never seen a public park where did are competent banned, but that's the scenario here. So having driven a 90 mile round trip specifically because the kids had wanted to go, it was a total waste of time and money. Of course, the trolls will say its my own fault for not checking but it's just not what you expect to find when you visit a park.
Though we could only walk around the perimeter with our little dog, one thing that was glaringly obvious, on a bright, mild sunny Sunday afternoon, is that the place was deserted. We saw a total of just 2 people in the park, something else I've never seen in my life. Even on a dull damp day you'll find plenty of people in your local park, with their dogs of course, so it's blindingly obvious that this is not a popular decision with the locals and almost certainly isn't what the founders intended when they pledged the funding. A classic example of why power mad local council ruling should be scrapped.
Oh, and my wife and daughter did wander in to visit the loo but even they were locked up. Apparently they close in the "winter" to keep them clean for the summer. Visit Lanashire? No thanks, you can keep it, I'll stick to where my family, which includes my dog, are wanted. Disgusted.
