点评：We booked the deluxe package as part of our anniversary trip to the area. It was the perfect couples activity! Being 3+ hour drive away I was nervous when we started to run behind on the road. I called ahead and the staff were more than helpful and reassuring. What I didn’t expect was to be prepared for all the dad joke our tour guides, Jack and Diane, had for us. They were great! I would recommend staying as close to the front as you can. It’s hard to hear in the cave and you don’t want to miss all the history and cool facts. I would also suggest bringing 2 pairs of socks in addition to the ones you wear. Once you get to the dock you will need to remove your shoes before boarding your kayak. Not only is it cold in the cave but inevitably your socks will get wet. I kept 2 pairs in my hoodie and it paid off. I used 1 pair to layer up and the other on my hands during the excursion! Then once we got out I put my dry “hand socks on my feet and took my wet ones off. We also splurged and got the add on picture package. I thought this would be a great idea so we wouldn’t have to take our phones and risk them getting wet. In retrospect I would forgo the package and just take my water proof phone lanyard instead. They do make an effort to take individualized pictures on the tour and some of the things in the cave. However, you get ALL the pictures from that groups time slot sent to your email at the end and it was a lot to go through. Being “hands free” did allow me to be more present and take in all the cave has to offer. I just felt like more personalized pictures of us, in the tandem kayak, could have been better. Either way it made for a memorable adventure that was worth the money.
