Slovakia and the Tatras should get more hype - unforgettable journey

点评：did the 5-Day Self-Guided Tatra Itinerary, and it’s easily one of the best trips I’ve ever taken. TravelSlovakia provides a detailed itinerary, a physical map, and even arranges a pre-departure meeting to go over the journey and answer questions.
As a solo traveler, I had some doubts about heading into the mountains, but the excellent organization and the amazing fellow travelers I met made the experience truly unforgettable. The huts are comfortable, with running water, great food, and stunning views. The itinerary also offers optional side trips to other huts or extra walks, so you can adapt it to your pace.
One thing I loved is that if other travelers start on the same date, you’re placed in shared rooms together. This turned my planned solo adventure into a trip filled with laughter, friendship, and pierogi in the middle of the mountains. If I could change anything, it would be to add an extra night—I could not get enough of the Tatras 🩵
