Torness Nuclear Power Station的点评
点评：Fantastic visit… if you are inquisitive, love information and want to understand the whole “Nuclear Energy Process” visit Torness. There was just the two of us and our guide Kendall was brilliant, every question we asked and there were many, he answered fully pitching at a level that made it interesting and comfortable to us with little knowledge of the subject.
Our 90 minute tour was in fact two hours but it flew by really quickly. We went right into the centre of the facility looking down at the nuclear reactors. Through to the steam turbines and the Dynamo section. We operation hub was an eye opener. We passed so many staff all of who greeted us.
This power station has the capacity to fuel 2.5 million homes plus. Scotland has 2.7 million homes. This a safe and efficient way to generate electricity yet there is only one power nuclear plant being built. 2030 this station is to be decommissioned. This is where cross party collaboration needs to happen to plan future power needs and sources. Wind and Solar is not going to do it on their own.
Visit and ask for Kendall.
