Minor basilica with impressive mosaic scenes

点评：The Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary is one of three churches along with the Crypt and Upper Basilica at the site where St. Bernadette experienced her apparitions in the city of Lourdes. Opening hours are 7am to 10pm daily.
This minor basilica was designed by architect Leopold Hardy in Byzantine style in 1899. This is the church you enter from ground level when facing the Sanctuary of Lourdes centre church complex. There are very impressive mosaics that make up the facade and entrance area which is found at ground level.
Within the church, you will find a nave layout in the shape of a cross. The apse and inner cupola portray more impressive mosaics as do the numerous small chapels that line the sides of the nave, each with mosaics scenes depicting the Stations of the Cross. Start from left to right if you want to walk through and view them in order.
