Cerberus in the water

点评：I have been visiting Sandringham and the Black Rock / Half Moon Bay area for about 35 years.
Many great times at the beach and along the coastal path there. The breakwater Cerberus has always been a fascinating feature of the beach, also the great bluff facing Half Moon Bay.
The water there is sometimes quite clear. Nice for snorkelling. Many of the beaches in the area are quite shallow, but Half Moon Bay is quite swimmable not too far out from the shore. In the old days Cerberus was often full of rowdy teenagers jumping from the deck or smoke stacks into the sea... some wild ones even leapt into the hull of the boat swimming between sections of the boat. It is now off limits but the area remains a great beach for swimming. Parking is limited. I prefer to catch the train to Sandringham and walk along the coast to the yacht club but you can swim much closer to Sandringham.
