Wild Atlantic Adventure Centre的点评
点评：Had a great 2 days in WAAC as our TY overnight trip. Many of our students were completing this as part of their Gaisce challenge. The centre catered for 50 students easily. The setting is just so remote and peaceful and this this family run business was really accommodating to all our needs in a lovely relaxed manner.
First day comprised of a 10km walk along the most beautiful beach and country roads. Have the most beautiful blue skies just added to the experiences. The afternoon was team building games and a fire starting activities all which were great fun followed by a lovely BBQ. After dinner we were encouraged to go to the secret beach where logs were left for us to have a camp fire and sing song. Supper of toast and biscuits was a nice touch and a fully fitted kitchen available with microwaves, kettle, airfriers, oven etc....
That night we camped in the shed which was exactly that and a great learning experience to pack well. Student were expected to have a mattress, sleeping bag and warm clothes and they need it all. It was a cold October night after all.
The second day was a more difficult 15km hike but there were contingency plans for anyone who might have found it tough. Student safety was paramount and the guides were excellent at all times. Students were welcomed back to WAAC who had homemade soup and sandwiches ready. The afternoon was the mud run which was great craic altogether. Students left exhausted but happy with so many wonderful memories made.
