Perfect place for learning to paramotor
Air Adventure Flight School的点评
点评：Ended up choosing Air Adventure to do my paramotor training over 4 other flight instruction options. The main reason was because Air Adventure is unique in that the flight school is on a private airfield that is immaculately taken care of by the owners - Gerry and his wife.
The facility is really world class which truly sets Air Adventure apart from its competitors. It includes a hangar to store your gear during training, a classroom, power hook up onsite for camping and a firepit, an outdoor covered kitchen area, and a games room. Most importantly though, golf carts are used to minimize the amount of time walking up and down the field. In order to get comfortable with takeoffs and landings a winch system is used so that this skill can be learned prior to taking flight with the paramotor (schools that don't use a winch system require takeoff the first time using the paramotor). The paramotor instructor (Claudio) is very experienced and was a pleasure to take instruction from. Be sure to ask him for gear advice. Don't forget to ask whether you should opt for an electric start or not. :P
The only improvement I would suggest would relate to the actual application process for the Ultralight Pilot permit and booklet. Transport Canada regulates the licensing for paramotors and their pilots and it is an absolute convoluted pain in the a$$ to get the applications complete. Since the flight school is familiar with this process it would alleviate a great deal of frustration if the school could apply of behalf of the students.
