点评:The top attraction in Figueres is the terrific Dali Theater-Museum, but just down the street, about 3 minutes away, is this delightful and fun museum of toys. Regardless of your age, you will want to come here and spend a couple of hours.
The museum is not hard to find in Figueres's relatively compact city center. It is no more than about 2 minutes from the Dali Museum. The museum has a kind of storefront entrance and has three stories. During our visit, there was a cow figure and hopscotch area in front.
The museum is filled with toys from over the past 200 years. Some (like some early Disney figures, a Slinky Dog, or Barbie) were familiar. Others were less familiar to Americans. Some looked fun, but others were a little off or creepy. You'll find a range of everything from clever wooden toys to figures from various decades to miniature doll house, to an Alexander Calder pull toy, to an elaborate train set.
They have some Japanese robot toys from the 1960's that looked like they inspired several Star Wars characters. We also saw a zoetrope and other toys with visual effects.
Kids should inherently like the toys, but there is also a treasure-hunt-style map (in English) they can use to find various historic toys.
This museum is a lot of fun and a nice stop if you find yourself with a little time in Figueres.
