Fabulous Guide and Tour of Corcovado!

点评：We are extremely happy to have booked with Ficus Tours, a family owned and operated business! Our guide, Roger, has many years of guiding experience. His in depth knowledge comes from a genuine love for his subject. We quickly learned that this is a passion he pursues even when he is not “working”.
If you are looking for a personalized, small group guided experience, Roger and Flor, owners of Ficus Tours, intentionally work to keep the size of the groups they lead small. They don’t participate in combining groups with other agencies in order to get the numbers up. For our trip to Corcovado, it was just the two of us with Roger. Roger was able to tailor the walk to seek out what was of most interest to us as well as showing us many other wildlife species native to Corcovado. Other tour companies had as many as 6, 8, or 10 people in their groups. This meant they moved more slowly through the forest; participants had to wait their turn to look through the spotting scope to view birds and animals they came upon.
Another rewarding feature for us was our opportunity to get to know Roger on a more personal level, not only as a gifted naturalist, but also as a proud and loving husband & father. This is our first visit to Costa Rica and we’re quickly falling in love with the country as well as the people we encounter along the way! Thank you Roger for being a wonderful guide and our new friend!
