点评：We went on July 30 and were so excited the puffins were still there, although it was obvious that many had left. I was prepared with my 70-300mm telephoto lens but I would suggest a larger focal length for better/closer photos. A phone camera won’t be enough. The viewing platform is high up and you’re mostly looking down on all the birds, and they’re quite a bit away. The volunteer staff is amazing and will help point out whatever birds and other wildlife they see. They also set up spotting scopes you can view and also take video/photos through with your phone. They also will provide binoculars to see the birds better. All in all, we were so happy to see puffins and have a relatively warm and sunny day in late July. Also, bring cash for the minibus ride from where the ferry drops you off to the bird center (£6 per person round trip) as it’s way too far to walk.
