点评:We had a great time—and didn’t really know what to expect. There’s a short van ride, a short train ride and a short walk—about a half hour total, probably (at the end, you do the same thing in reverse).
The cave itself was only discovered around 1960, and it’s in good shape, with beautiful features—delicate straws, fans, all sorts of formations. It’s really a great cave, especially for beginners—there are a handful of low walls and a few slippery rocks, but all in all, pretty easy to navigate. Impressive how many cool formations there are in the cave, 99% intact and undamaged.
What made our trip especially wonderful is we had a guide that lives in the neighborhood—“Jet.”. Jet was knowledgeable, considerate, and easy-going. He told us all about the geology of the cave, how the formations happened, various ages of different strata, the history of the cave and its discovery, etc. Jet was always aware of our surroundings, gave us plenty of warnings about ducking our heads, or slippery steps or whatever. He clearly really loves the cave, and loves to show it off to visitors.
We loved seeing the glow worms—we spent maybe 10-15 min with them—and Jet gave us the rundown, of course.
Overall loved the trip and thought the company was first class.
