Best decision in our trip to Sri Lanka: renting a Sri Lanka Private Driver. Best luck: getting Kapila as our driver.

点评：We considered different options when planning our trip to Sri Lanka: Tuktuk rental for the whole stay, public transport, car rental.... Nothing convinced us. Tuktuk are not so comfortable for long distances and your luggage is not locked, public transport maybe overcrowded and bumping and you have to carry your luggage all the time on you, and driving a rental car in Sri Lanka seemed quite challenging. Then we read about Sri Lanka private driver and they had so good reviews that we decided to try. We couldn't be happier with our decision. For a reasonable price, we have been traveling for more than two weeks in a very comfortable car with the best driver you could wish.
About the car: every day clean, big, comfortable, with a filter that keeps polluted air outside, conditioning according to our wish, every day at our door at the planned time. Another advantage is that you can take the Ella- Kandy train, or make a hike and the car waits for you at the point you choose to end the track.
About the driver: punctual, reliable, caring, keeping calm in any condition (and traffic in Sri Lanka is mostly stressful), adapting the driving to our medical condition (bumps had to be avoided because of back injury), safe driver. And he has become more than a driver: he has given us so many good advices on places to stop at, street food to taste, best roads, animals to see on our way... He knows a lot of things about plants, animals, culture and people in Sri Lanka and has explained a lot of stuff which has made us take MUCH more profit of every single day in Sri Lanka. He has also bargained prices for us so in the end we have paid less for presents we bought and places we stayed at. We had a medical issue at the begining of our stay and he helped us a lot to get the medical atention we needed and the proper treatment. At the same time, he knows how to respect our privacy and freedom which is also important.
Our trip to Sri Lanka wouldn't have been the same without Kapila. We have been able to fully enjoy our trip without any worries about difficult traffic conditions, heavy rain, parking places, directions... And we have seen so much more of the real Sri Lanka with the tips he gave us. We can only recommend him and hope we have the chance to meet him again in the future.
