点评：If you enjoy a slow train ride, bird life and the scenery of the St. Lawrence River, this trip is for you. The staff was charming, and the train was clean and in good condition. The railcars are 1980s Deutsche Bahn issue with some vintage stickers as proof of origin. I was a little nervous about taking the trip after reading the reviews here, but the experience exceeded our expectations. Using the toilet is a bit of a “rock and roll” experience, but there is a short stop in Baie Saint-Paul if you prefer a more stable bathroom environment. Drinks and snacks are available on board, but take a packed lunch if you would like something more substantial. The weather was cool for our trip, so it is possible that the wagons heat up in high summer since there is no AC. Recommend reserving river side (“côté fleuve”) seats for one leg. We combined the train trip with an overnight hotel stay in La Malbaie. A very enjoyable mini break!
