点评：We really wanted to enjoy this. Thought about it as a little adventure with three kids. It’s the same exact beach that all of the hotels are lined up on. Waves were a little rougher and water wasn’t as clear as further south on the beach. We wanted to do some shelling but all we managed to find was a broken sand dollar. After the long track to the actual beach finding the energy to walk even further north to find shells was just not worth it. We found a local walking back and asked if we should bother walking north and he said “well it’s just a beach”. So yea.
Something we were NOT warned about were the bugs in the parking lot and as you walk over the boardwalk. OMG. There were SWARMS of mosquitoes that were all over us. They came into the car as we opened the doors to get out. We were COVERED!! I was wrapping my kids in towels just to keep them off as we walked. That should have been a clue to get out of there. But we persisted.
We did everything all the blogs told us to do. Parked in the furthest lot. Came to the end of the boardwalk and there was water we had to wade through because it rained the night before. We opted for the “long” walk I guess because there was no lagoon across from the boardwalk we crossed. Just grass dunes. And it was a LONG walk. Just to go to the same beach our hotel was on. Not worth it at all!!
