点评:We visited this museum on November 16. In the museum you get an overview of musical instruments that are played all over the world. Unfortunately, the explanation is only in Japanese. They did make an effort to provide an English translation on the basis of a few pages. For the films, they did not provide a translation or subtitles. At certain times of the day you can listen to musicians who play a specific instrument. During our visit we could listen to an orchestra that made music with angklungs. An angklung is a frame with a number of tuned bamboo tubes in it. When moving it sideways back and forth, a warm kind of sound is created. Each instrument is tuned by hand and produces one tone. You need eight angklungs to form a scale. The orchestra played, among other things, "When You Wish Upon a Star" from the Disney film Pinocchio. You can try out different musical instruments in a space provided for that purpose.
