Hamilton Branch State Park的点评
点评：While on a fishing trip in South Carolina, we camped at Hamilton Branch State Park Campground located at: 111 Campground Road Plum Branch, South Carolina 29845; Phone Number: 864 333-2223.
Upon checking in, the ranger that checked me in was very friendly and answered my minimal questions and I easily found our campsite although I was the first of the three of us to arrive.
The site was right on Strom Thurman Lake which is a 50-mile lake created by backing up of water after the building of the dam. Every site is on the water and there is quite a lot of room between sites unlike anything I have ever experienced before. The fishing in the lake is great, although you do need to purchase a South Carolina fishing license. The license is very inexpensive and easily acquired on-line.
Being one who really likes camping but hates public facilities, this put a little stress on the trip. When the need arose, I found the facilities to be more than satisfactory. As a matter of fact, they were downright spotless.
We caught our limit of stripers with Mason’s Guide Service, a write-up already done on its own. The 4th day we went kayak fishing on the lake and found the fishing to be excellent for perch and bass.
This is a park where camping is excelled and I cannot recommend it more.
