Rooms do no accommodate for a family of 4

点评：⭐️ “A Disappointing Return to What Was Once Perfect”
We returned to Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental for the third time, and we’ve always remembered it as the definition of luxury. Coming from the WB Hotel Abu Dhabi, we looked forward to a serene week in this breathtaking property.
While the staff and service are great and the restaurants delightful, our room experience has been deeply disappointing.
We are a family of four — two adults, a six-year-old, and a three-year-old. We booked a room that clearly allowed four guests, only to be told at check-in that it “wasn’t suitable.” The only solution offered was an “upgrade” for an additional £4,500 for the week, or to share a bed with our children.
Our current setup is completely unsuitable:
One king-size bed for two adults
A roll-in bed for our six-year-old
A three-year-old sleeping on a chaise sofa (not a sofa bed)
This is not the standard one expects from a five-star hotel — nor is it safe or family-friendly. The safety and the comfort of our children is most important for us as parents on holiday and we haven't slept since we got here worrying about our son falling of the sofa.
We’ve stayed at many top properties — Zighy Bay, Anantara, JW Marriott, Fairmont, Four Seasons, Six Senses, St Regis — and have never been told to either pay thousands more or sleep uncomfortably with our children.
To future guests: check your booking carefully if travelling with young children. The hotel’s system gives the impression that rooms accommodate families when in reality, they do not unless you pay thousands more on arrival for an upgrade.
We genuinely hope management will take this feedback constructively and does not put any other guests through what we have been through.

我们住过很多顶级酒店——杰格希湾酒店、安纳塔拉酒店、JW 万豪酒店、费尔蒙酒店、四季酒店、六善酒店、瑞吉酒店——从未被告知要么多付数千美元，要么和孩子一起睡得不舒服。
致未来的客人：如果您带着年幼的孩子旅行，请仔细检查您的预订。酒店的系统给人的印象是房间可以容纳家庭入住，但实际上，除非您在抵达时多付数千美元升级房间，否则房间是无法容纳家庭入住的。
我们真诚地希望管理层能够建设性地接受这些反馈，并且不要让其他客人经历我们所经历的事情。
