点评:This was my first visit to Vietnam, specifically Danang, with a group of fellow golfers, and I was thrilled to experience the renowned Ba Na Hills Golf Club. It truly is a remarkable golf course, and I was looking forward to enjoying the lush greens.
During my game, after completing my last stroke at Hole 9, my caddy suggested that I navigate across some large rocks near a small river to reach the green. Initially, I was hesitant and politely declined twice, opting for a longer route instead, as I was concerned about the slippery conditions in my golf shoes. However, after seeing the other golfers successfully make the crossing, I decided to trust the caddy's support.
Unfortunately, on my second step onto the rocks, I slipped unexpectedly. My left ankle was caught between two large rocks, causing a sprain and excruciating pain. In an attempt to assist me, the caddy unintentionally made the situation worse, prompting me to scream in pain for her to stop. Thankfully, my fellow golfers quickly came to my aid and carefully freed my foot. I was then transported by the caddy in a buggy to the golf course's emergency clinic. The doctor there recommended that I go to the hospital for an X-ray to rule out any fractures or dislocations.
This incident highlighted for me a significant safety concern at the course. I believe that improvements could be made, such as constructing a safer passageway instead of relying on rocky terrain and ensuring caddies are trained to prioritize safer routes to avoid such risks. It's essential to remember that golf shoes are designed for greens and fairways, not for navigating rough rocks or water.
I would like to extend my gratitude to Mr. Simon Mees, General Manager of Ba Na Hills Golf Club, for his concern and support during this difficult time. I look forward to returning to complete my game at Ba Na Hills Golf Club once I have fully recovered.
Thank you, and see you again soon, Mr. Simon Mees!
