点评:We included Prei Kuk as part of our driving itinerary from PP to SR.
The temples were so much quieter and remote that it felt like we were exploring on our own.
The road to the temples was gravel and dirt and made for a bumpy ride at times. However our driver Sarak’s RX300 easily navigated our way from the entrance to the drop off point where we met our guide.
The fee for our guide was separate from the admission fee. Well worth the insights and details she provided as we explored multiple buildings. Almost every building we visited also had great signage (English and Cambodian) explaining in more detail the restoration project, purpose and key features.
The buildings here were pre Ankor and smaller in size but scattered over a sizable area. A number of them had foliage or trees still growing on top. Not as well known as Ta Prohm but still amazing and beautiful to see up close. The restorers definitely have a big challenge on how to rebuild and restore given how much the roots of the trees have interwoven themselves in between all the bricks.
Overall we spent almost two hours here. Definitely would recommend a visit here.
