点评:Visited Daintree Rain Forest and Mossman Gorge. We drove there from Port Douglas in our rental and took the shuttle bus. We debated on walking from the car parked to the trail start but decided to pay the 15 dollars for the round trip, as we wished to save our energy for the trails and also because there is no ‘entrance fee’ and some of the payment goes to preservation of the rainforest, which we wanted to contribute to.
We were self guiding and did all the trails. The most taxing is the 2km loop trail. This trail is uneven in some parts with steps so may not suit those with impairment. The trails were lovely. Lots of lush vegetation and very tranquil. We loved this. On the way back we had a swim in Mossman Gorge. Lovely cool clear fresh water! So refreshing!
We had an organic ice cream at the visitor centre next to the car park before leaving. Note, these are the only toilets in the forest so may wish to use before taking the bus to the trails.
Enjoyed our visit to Daintree Rainforest. Bring your swim wear and a towel to enjoy the cool refreshing water in the gorge!
