点评：I was lucky enough for the weather to be perfect for the 30 minute walk from the Glynde train station. But worth the walk to be hosted by a wonderful crew at Firle Place. HILLALRY was my guide---and she was excellent. Knowledgeable and fun to experience the history of the many generations of families who have created such a marvelous estate on 7,000 acres! You can see why the producers of the film "Emma" jumped at the chance to use this incredible place as the backdrop of their movie. The artwork in the house is nothing short of museum quality including masters. . My flight was postponed and used this opportunity as a 40 minute run off from Gatwick Airport on the Southern line rail service--all easy to do--but TAXI service can be difficult to arrange and expensive. Firle Place should work on an easy shuttle to train to make the entire trip as outstanding as the estate and its rolling grounds.
