点评:We visited Honister Slate Mine as a group of two- me and my Dad. We enjoyed the experience on the whole- especially the actual Via Ferrata Xtreme experience, just found the 'stairway to heaven' bit physically demanding, although we'd consider ourselves to be relatively fit.
The end hike was disappointing too- as we thought we'd be picked up by the transport that we had on the way. We weren't.
We were just disappointed that our 'Via Ferrata' experience was actually spent hiking/walking for ⅓ of it (at least).
Overall though, the experience was good. Our guide (JJ) was kind and encouraging throughout.
Felt a bit 'ripped off' by the hefty photo fees- £20! Especially considering we'd already paid £65 per person to do the activity, plus the café seemed expensive and overpriced (but I guess it can be as it's a relatively remote location, so people unfortunately have no other option). The food seemed to be of a decent quality though at least, just nothing out of the ordinary.
Overall, honestly, we probably wouldn't do the Via Ferrata again, but we're so glad we did it the first time, as it was truly a bucket list experience, just perhaps expensive and frustrating that you have to walk so much of it.
