Badami Cave Temples的点评
点评：We had a mixed feeling after the visit. It was a three day visit. We drove from Hubbali airport to Sterling Resort at Banasree Badami. The Resort was very good. The staff was excellent. We spent a day at Patadakallu and Aihole which are about 40 KM from the resort. Pataadakallu was especially very nice to see the architecture though any units had been damaged over time.
On the second day we made a trip to the Caves and nearby temples as well as the Agsthya lake. The caves and near by places were a disappointment. The government can do much better to maintain the place and also provide more conveniences to the visitors. The sculptures inside the caves are not many but those present are beutiful. The caves are in 4 levels and each level takes almost 50 steps. There are no railings.
The Banashankari temple is well organized and the Deity is beautifully decorated.
