Human waste offloaded into this section of water

点评：We are staying in es Cana and love a good beach, we were super excited as the beaches here in Ibiza look incredible especially for snorkelling as we are enjoy doing. We decided to take a wander down to scout it out, on approach, there’s a funny drain smell, very pongy, not pleasant.
As soon as we reached the Bay Area and looked over the edge, we were greeted by an array of human faeces, my husband pointed it out, I couldn’t tell on the offset that that’s what it was but as we looked further, it was obvious that that’s what it was, I was disgusted at the sheer volume of human waste floating around (please see picture attached), I have never seen this on any beach holiday before.
I’m aware ibiza has an old sewage system and a high percentage of waste is offloaded into the sea (which apparently there are talks of a new water system to help marine life and cope with the volume of tourists in summer time) however to see this happened at a touristy beach, where families and kiddies playing in the same water was disgusting and I will not be getting in the sea around here.
Also nothing special to look at, just your classic tourist beach.
(It also seems to be worse at different times of day, at some points in the day, you can’t really see anything but other times they are all just right there, in their hundreds. I’m not sure the people mucking about in the water close to it are aware, I’m sure they’re not)
