点评:The Edison Mansion and the park are close in distance, but totally separate for admissions.
The historical park is interesting for those people with a knowledge and wonder of Edison’s many inventions, and there are movies and park rangers to give some insight into what is displayed.
For the casual observer though, it is just a set of workshops and a very nice library.
The machines are in situ and are impressive in scale, but probably not a must see for no science minded people who are expecting action.
We had planned on touring the mansion, which is about 2 blocks away, but could not get tickets since we were there close to noon and the tickets regularly sell out shorty after opening.
We were told that while we could not tour the house, we could tour the gardens. When we approached the first gated community in the US, we were informed that we needed to turn around and get a ticket if we wanted to proceed.
Seeing that this was a circular argument, we just turned around and left.
