点评:The beautifully designed Umeda Sky Building is unique, with two glass-enclosed elevators and a donut-shaped observation deck suspended in mid-air. We visited between 9:40 and 10:40. During this time, there were very few crowds, and it felt very nice. You can also increase your chances of getting the famous elevator picture with no people in it. The architecture, view, and building are very nice. They even have a souvenir shop, right at the top of the two elevators taking you to the observation deck at the top. They also have classic gachapon, which are classic Japanese capsule vending machines. I bought a pin for 500 yen. Even the initial elevator that takes you from the ground up to the 35th floor has glass in front so you can see outwards at the city as you're going up or down. On that floor, there are also different exhibitions talking a little bit about the history, and also a good indoor viewpoint of Osaka. The only difference compared to the famous donut-shaped observation deck is that the donut-shaped one is not completely enclosed. The only issue is finding the right elevator. When you enter, you MUST go to the East Tower. The West Tower is for office workers. Once you go to the East Tower, you will see elevators. These elevators only stretch from floor 1 to 8, meaning they CAN NOT take you to the top floor. Instead, you must go to the THIRD floor. From there, you can find the elevator that takes you up to the 35th floor. Then, go from there, buying your tickets and whatnot. The last thing I want to say is that there are certain things you can't bring to the top observation deck. Since it's not fully enclosed, certain things, like tripods, food and drink, hats, umbrellas, etc, are not allowed at the top. Don't worry, there will be signs and workers telling you all of that. Overall, great place to visit. It isn't time-consuming, but still one of the most beautiful places in Osaka to go to.
