点评:This was our first stop soon after entering the National Park. The area was a series of historic cobble stoned buildings and log cabins that have now doubled up to serve as Museums with artifacts displayed in the open or in glass cases. The displays feature a lot of the wildlife that is found in this area. The huge trees all around provide a lot of shade. They even have a massive trunk of an ancient Douglas Fir tree – it was everyone’s favorite place to pose by it for photos.
We were allowed 20 minutes here, so we quickly ducked in and out of those buildings checking everything out quickly and reading as many plaques as we could. It set the stage for what we would be seeing ahead.
We bought a few gifts at the Visitor Center and got out Stamp and Sticker there for our Parks Passport. The Rangers were all very friendly and helpful.
There is small restaurant nearby and the restrooms were very clean and well maintained. It was worth the short time we spent here.
