Balnea的点评
点评：The facilities and grounds at Balnea are immaculate—and have only gotten nicer with time. Balnea is hands down unchallenged and unparalleled as the nicest spa that I’ve ever been to.
Over the past 1.5 years or so, there has been a distinct, profound change in culture—in the vibe—of Balnea. A once tranquil, incredibly quiet and relaxing atmosphere has become, well, what I call a party spa.
There is open and unabashed drinking in the hot tubs, lots of talking at full volume (not whispering) throughout the facilities, groups joking and laughing and hanging out, couples not aware that Balnea is a Scandinavian spa and not a libertine club.
And staff seem ok with all of this, as they do not patrol and hush as they once did—which leads me to assume they are ok with all of this.
And no judgement at all. A party spa is fun when that’s what you want.
The Balnea vibe leans toward part and away from tranquil. It is different than it was and anyone coming should be aware of that.
Balnea is not the Balnea of times past. And this past trip very well may be my last. I’m too old for a party spa—which, I suppose, is my own doing.
