Disappointing Calypso Boat Trip

点评：The Calypso boat trip, which included visits to two islands (Hvar and Bol), turned out to be a disappointment. The employee who sold us the trip told us there wouldn’t be many people on board the next day. We booked the trip around 7 PM, and I doubt the boat was sold out after that. However, in reality, the boat was completely full.
The instructions given on board couldn’t be heard in all areas of the boat. One of the crew members gave the instructions in Polish, even though we later found out he also speaks English. On the return trip, the same crew member came and made us leave our seats on the deck because we were supposed to sit in the same places as on the outbound trip. The boat was so full that some passengers had to sit inside, so if you didn’t manage to get good seats at the beginning, you were stuck with poor ones both ways.
The food on board was either fish or chicken, served with a vinegar cabbage salad. Both the fish and chicken were dry. To drink, there was white wine or juice.
On Bol island, it takes about 30 minutes to walk to the beach from where the boat docks. As an alternative, you can take a taxi boat for 4€ each way.
Overall, the employee gave us the impression that the trip would be something more than it actually was. The excursion cost 50€, and in our opinion, it wasn’t worth the price.
