Wrag Barn Golf Club的点评
点评：Simply cannot recommend this golf club!
We stopped by this course on our way back from playing golf elsewhere a month or so ago and liked the impression we got so put this on our list of courses we must come back and play.
So, with this in mind I phoned the Pro shop on Wednesday to book a tee for the following Monday and was given a tee time at the County Card rate of £35.
As we live 54 miles away we left early to allow for any traffic issues with it being a Bank Holiday and to give us time to relax over a bacon butty before playing. On arrival the guy in the Pro Shop said there had been a mix up and visitors are not allowed on the course before midday and the visitor rate is £85. We expressed our dissatisfaction but thought we would have the sandwich anyway and then return home as don’t like being fleeced.
We ordered the sandwich & drink and paid the £21.60 requested. The lady behind the bar came to us and apologised for the error on their part but would like to offer us the chance to go out for £45 each. She returned to the clubhouse but came back out and offered us the chance to play for £45 for one and £35 for the other. We finished our sandwich and thought we would do the courteous thing and say we were going to return home despite it being over 100 miles of wasted time and petrol. She then said in a bit of a huff that she would do both tee times for £35. Frankly this just irked us more! Why not just come clean and honour the price quoted especially as it was their mistake.
No apology for the way we were treated; not even a cup of coffee on the house!
Needless to say we will not be returning and cannot recommend this club.
