点评：Being familiar with the history of the historic home, through some of my own research, hearing and seeing the DVD, which is available for viewing on tours, was very interesting and, helped to paint a picture of those who knew Miss Traill. Insightful in this regard. Have been previously, but the DVD is something that really makes memories live on in an engaging way. With writing all around paintings, and photos, illustrations, etc, the tour itself covers the lesser known, but, interesting quirky aspects of the building and its significance, and, it is also an opportunity to ask questions. The volunteers there are always sharing what they know, about each room and the contents within it, and, with more people coming to this enchanting, fascinating grounds, the respect for the building and its relevance to noted individuals connected to it, will only be felt more widely! Some portraits there are also, perhaps, one might say, potentially an only copy. Therefore, there are many reasons to come and have a look for yourself.
