点评：I don’t like giving negative reviews but it is only fair that other golfers should know the condition of the course beforehand. Obviously being November it’s going to play differently to dry summer time but the greens are bare in places with small lumps of mud scattered across them, it reminded more of the goal mouth on football pitch which made putting a pure lottery.
The fairways have been cut with the cuttings left in long lines, but the cut has still left the grass about three inches long meaning the ball sinks down so rather than playing a fairway shot you are left with the equivalent of a shot from the rough, the other downside of course being that whatever shot is played from the tee simply doesn’t have any run on.
The whole place had a look of being unloved, broken unpainted fences in the car park and poor quality signage to mention just a couple of things. It’s a real shame as it could be a great place as it would appear to have been from reviews of some years ago, it gives the impression of a business where the owners have simply run out of steam and it needs to be revitalised by someone looking at it with a fresh pair of eyes.
The two star review? One because it’s a golf course and two because it’s still there.
