点评：Shothole Canyon is north of the Charles Knife Canyon when driving along the Minilya - Exmouth Road. This is a 4wd access road only, travelling deep into the gorge, thus limiting many visitors from being able to drive into the canyon.
If you don't have 4wd, you can still experience the Shothole Canyon by taking the Charles Knife Drive to the Thomas Carter Lookout. This is where you find the Badjarrijarri Trail, a 7km loop trail that heads straight to the Shothole Lookout, where you find yourself upon the rim viewing to the gorge. Views from here are rather remarkable, showcasing the road heading in from the distance along with the depths of the gorge. From here you can either complete the loop trail or turn around and head back to save yourself some time and energy if you are really just wanting to take in the viewpoint.
