点评:I was looking forward to visiting this domain, but my experience was unfortunately disappointing.
I simply asked about the possibility of a wine tasting. The person I spoke with — an older lady — explained that tastings are only by reservation, which is completely fine. However, her explanation was very vague. She started to say something like, “But if you know you will buy…” and never really finished her sentence.
All I needed was a clear and polite answer, maybe with a simple apology. Instead, the conversation felt awkward and unwelcoming, which left me quite frustrated.
To make the best of it, I ordered a glass of Pinot Blanc and a Flammekueche. The wine was good, but the Flammekueche never arrived. When I asked for the bill, it wasn’t even listed.
At that moment, a different person — much clearer and eventually quite friendly — handled the situation. She immediately proposed to bring the Flammekueche quickly, which I appreciated, though by then I had already finished my wine and decided to leave.
For context, the man who welcomed me at the entrance had also been pleasant. Sadly, the initial vague and confusing interaction completely set the wrong tone and overshadowed the positives.
