点评:I bought the ‘Extended Dambusters Helicopter Tour’ for my dad’s 50th and it was a fantastic experience. Having enjoyed many of walks together in the Peak District, it was great to see several of the places and landmarks we’ve been to, such as Mam Tor, Chatsworth House and Lady Bower Reservoir/Derwent Valley where the RAF trained for the Dam Buster flights during World War II. The views were amazing and the weather turned out to be better than expected.
We were really impressed with how organised and efficient the whole process was, as we got there early to watch the smooth taking off and landing of other flights. Following the safety briefing and refuelling of the helicopter, we were up in the sky in no time at all and admiring the extraordinary sights. The only piece of constructive feedback I would give is that I felt like five people in the back of the helicopter was a bit of a squeeze. I am fairly small so was packed tightly into the middle seat, however I felt like I was having to lean over the man next to me at times to capture the views. I would have preferred a seat next to the window to fully appreciate the viewing experience.
