Best to drive past Hot Springs Village & go Northwest to Bella Vista, Arkansas
Hot Springs Village Area Visitor Center的点评
点评：Upon arriving to the area the Visitor Center was most welcoming. We rented a house from HSVRentals - looked good on the website, viewed the photos & new the inside was a bit darkish but okay & because it was in the Village Community thought we would be able to use Dog Park, Pools, etc. We can use Golf & with yellow passes we can use the fitness center & a few other areas which we learned after visiting the POA to get the dog pass & learned we are not members & can not use the dog park! But, they did give us the yellow passes with the rental company should have gotten.
Upon entering the unit there were pet pee stains on the carpets upstairs (the lower area looks okay but not the main upper area it has multiple pee stains. I photoed & sent to HSVRental to let them know not our dogs. The front door bell missing, no outside lighting except over the front door & very dangerous at night trying to walk back in the pitch dark. The entire unit is dated - except the living room/dining area with fairly new laminate (probalby due to pet stains on carpet had to replace) the carpet in the lower level is ripped at the door way. There is no screen door on the sliding door to the deck. The microwave is the smallest one you could buy maybe a dorm unit but probably smaller. Speaking of small - the stools in all bathroom are for kids - I am 5' 1" and it is a long way to the seat with knees to chin! The beds were to be Queens but they feel & look more like doubles (we have a queen at home - these are smaller). The house was built in 1990 & appears nothing has been updated such as counters, flooring, wallpaper etc. Very dated. For nearly $2500 for 13 days seems a bit pricey for the conditions.
I have sent many emails to HSVRentals regarding all of the things we have found. After visiting the POA & learning they are not a part of the Village Community program I was surprised. We tried to find another unit as we can not get a refund but maybe we could have changed - even if it was a townhouse/condo but nothing except one house with a drive at a 90 degree angle & that didn't work well with we older people.
Anyway, I pride myself on seeking out good places when we go on vacation but I am so disappointed with the entire experience, I wanted to share with others to beware. We did NOT get what we paid for & we can NOT get out of staying here & just heading home without losing the next 10 days we paid. Even if they would give us back all but $500 we would leave tomorrow! But - no. I did the research, there is just a lot of misinformation and a ton of disappointments. The only friendlyt golf area so far is the Cordoba golf area - great customer service. At Desoto the guy never greeted me, asking if I needed help & when I took an expensive golf top to cash register he said "do you want this?" Duh..... no I just walked over here to lay this top down on your counter! I did just say yes. Never smiled nothing.
Unfriendly unless you are interested in buying something then full smiles & most helpful.
Find another place to go to for a week or two beside the Hot Springs Village. Hot Springs had more to offer actually. And, other places like Bella Vista, AR does too. We have stayed there many times - we should have just stayed there not here.
