点评：Always wanted to check this place out. I was attracted by the history and most recently, the food reviews.
The beauty of the location and rustic cabin theme was just what I was hoping for. We were lucky to snag a seat in the front of the cabin with the small fireplace and that was nice.
We ordered the tri-tip sandwich, the " you've got to have" onion rings and the chili cheese fries. Now, I've never been a fan of onion rings but always try them because folks always rave about them. Well, sorry to say, I'm still not a fan of onion rings. I just don't understand the pasty dough that always seems to be found between the crusty outer coating and sweet onion. Maybe they're just not for me. The chili cheese fries were just that. Standard. As for the tri-tip, I found the meat to be outstanding. I was not a fan of the roll which seemed to have come out of a plastic bag from the local grocery.
So in short, the ambience was great, the service was fine, but I would highly recommend that you pick up your tri-tip directly from the BBQ and enjoy at one of the picnic tables. And don't miss going another half mile down the road to see the Cold Spring Arch Bridge.
