Avoid for events!
Sherfield Oaks Golf Club的点评
点评：Where I can’t comment on their golf or food, if your booking here for use of the function room, I would avoid entirely. From useless, ignorant staff, to lack of respect and being self centred.
My partner and I viewed their function room with the events team last year for our wedding reception. We were quoted and happy with everything. We left it a while before booking to be certain.
When I tried to get back into contact with the same people this year, I got no response after multiple attempts. I then rang one day and the miraculously picked up for once, to be informed the guy had retired… would have been nice to just get a response via email to say so.
I was then passed on to the new events guy who arranged with me to meet in person two weeks later. All great you think? No.
I arrived at the day and time agreed and asked a worker to fetch said person (Mitchel) and waited in the reception area. 20 minutes go by, nobody comes. I then go to the bar and ask the same guy, to which he responds ‘oh, he’s gone to go play golf’. I’m too stunned to speak at this point. The guy from behind the bar goes outside to find him, I follow, and as we start walking towards him, he turns and sees us, then gets on his golf buggy and rides off into the abyss. At this point I’m furious.
I am then taken into the function room, left alone to ‘have a look around’ whilst he fetches the ‘events manager’. 15 minutes later (like I hadn’t waited long enough) a lady comes out. I get a brief, poor, rapid apology and we move on.
I discussed everything with this woman (Joanne) and we talk about figures. All is sorted and I go home to await an email quote.
The quote comes through and figures are slightly off. I email and no response 8 days later, so I email again. It is now 2 weeks since that chase up email and I still haven’t heard a word.
Their customer service is appalling and I wouldn’t have my wedding reception there if you paid me now. Their lack of communication and care for customers is horrific. Avoid avoid avoid

我在约定的日期和时间到达后，请一名工作人员去叫那位负责人（米切尔），自己则在接待区等候。20分钟过去了，还是没人出现。接着我走到酒吧，问了同一个人，他回答道：“哦，他去打高尔夫球了。”此时我惊得说不出话来。酒吧里的那个人走出去找他，我也跟了上去。当我们朝他走去时，他转过身看到了我们，随即跳上高尔夫球车，绝尘而去。这时我气得火冒三丈。
随后我被带进活动厅，被单独留在那里“随便看看”，而他则去叫“活动策划人”过来。15分钟后（好像我等得还不够久似的），一位女士走了出来。她草草、含糊又匆忙地道了个歉，然后我们就离开了。
我和这位女士（乔安妮）详细谈了一切，还讨论了具体数字。一切都谈妥了，我便回家等待她发来的报价邮件。
报价邮件果然来了，但其中的数字有些出入。我发邮件询问，8天过去了却毫无回复，于是我又发了一封邮件。如今，距离那封催问邮件已过去两周，我仍然杳无音信。他们的客户服务糟糕透顶，就算现在给我钱，我也不会在那里举办婚宴。他们既不与客户沟通，也不关心客户，简直糟糕至极。千万别去，千万别去，千万别去。
