点评:This place is as engaging as you want it to be. If you wish to be left alone for a pleasant stroll, you can do so. If you wish to engage with the reenactors to learn how craftsmen did their jobs back when, you can do so. If you want to stand along a fence line and talk to the animals, you can do so. And if you wish to get a history lesson just by riding a carousel, you can do so, and have fun while doing so.
If you've been to Sturbridge Village in Massachusetts or the Shelburne Museum in Vermont and enjoyed those places, you'll enjoy this place, especially when taken at a slow pace. It's as family friendly as you want to make it. We visited on an off season weekday, so we missed the crowds that fill Cooperstown during the summer. But if you are in the area, regardless of season, it makes a pleasant day.
